Sweetly named “Acrobabies”, the team comprising little members from our beloved Junior Rockhuggers Team climbed ferociously to win the under 12 Team Category at Climb On Competition this year.

Pit against huge school teams and more experienced, older climbers, our little climbers aged as young as 9 years old climbed their hearts out on the hard and high routes, proving that sheer grit and love for team mates takes climbers very far in this sport! Many were in awe of the technical ability and maturity reflected by the little Acrobabies.

We congratulate the Junior Rockhuggers for their stellar efforts and awesome win!

After a year of hard work in training and competitions, the team is preparing for 9 days of thrilling discoveries and exploration on natural rock. Chiangmai’s cliffs are strewn amidst beautiful bamboo forests, with long, undulating routes that are both awe-inspiring and technically brilliant.

Many have spent their trainings this year listening to “veteran war stories” from their seniors about climbing on the Chiangmai routes, so the anticipation to meet routes like “Gruntfest” and “The Balance of Power” must be running high

Happy preparations Team TJC, for your exciting adventure this December!

The Inaugural Rockfest 2011 at UWCSEA was a fabulous success!

Acrobatics was delighted to co-organise this revolutionary event with UWCSEA’s Outdoor Education Dept and the dynamic UWCSEA Climbing Team.

Acrobatics designed a competition format for Rockfest, which made the event very inclusive, very fun, with high action and less procedure time for the our active kids. The result was a relaxed, family-atmosphere which allowed for real bonding and learning between the participants – more than 70 climbers from 8 international schools in Singapore.

The best results in this competition: the touching camaraderie which was born between participants – everyone became great friends and learnt from each other about the diferent climbing and training cultures in their schools. Even in the intense Final and Super-Final rounds, competitors from different schools supported each other as if everyone came from the same ONE team!

Acrobatics would like to thank all organisers, competitors and parents for a heart-warming event to remember!

Congrtulations to all climbers for a a great weekend of superb climbing and sportsmanship!
